I adore colours. 🌈

For as long as I can remember, colour has provoked so very many things me. The bright neons of the β€˜90s took hold of my brain and squeezed inside so fully and felt so natural that the rainbow became second nature to me. What does that mean? Well, many people have called me β€œColourful”, although likely a euphemism for being called β€œPain in the Ass”. 😏

Being neurodivergent among adults who didn’t understand this was challenging. Nevertheless, I was privileged enough back then (and still to this day) to receive much encouragement to continue making art. Painting, paper mache, fimo clay and playdoh were a terrific starting point. Then, in adolescence found; graphic novels, photogtraphy, poetry and prose. Plus learning to both sew and wade through thrift store stuff was a great combination! Fashion is a very accessible form of artistic expression, especially for young adults. I managed to grow up and do the usual things expected of me, but never lost the love for Lisa Frank!!

Nowadays, much of my artistic passion is poured into Resin rather than thrifted clothes. All of the colours are still here, but being funnelled into forms for inspiring other people. You know, in all that time being creative while growing up, I never considered myself to be an actual artist. It boggled my mind when other people actually wanted to purchase my art for real!!! πŸ˜„ Now, I embrace the reality that after a lifetime of practise, it’s so natural for me to want to create so much and so often, it’s natural and appropriate to assume the title.

Stay tuned for some information about upcoming craft markets in the YVR area!! βœŒοΈπŸ‘½βœŒοΈ
